DAY 3 .
wore my tri color knitted top that day. but it was still too cold for me :/
i like the colors of the top ! :)
brunch was dimsum at Seranade; this place is really awesome in terms of ambience, service and food.
4.5/5 stars.
highly recommended.
the price might be slightly more expensive compared to normal places, but for every penny you pay is definitely worth it !!!
the interior!
the utensils ;)
got palace feel eh???hahahah
ABALONE SIEW MAI; this is really premium stuff, $4 each for 1 siew mai,
but this is really worth it, it may seem expensive but the abalone is really finger licking good
and the sauce is really awesome !
picture cant do this justice, you have to taste it yourself !
ordered the normal siew mai too; the crispy looking thing is actually wrapped with some prawn paste inside and its really fried to perfection, golden color and crispy! and the filling is really amazing.
i sound like some advertiser, but no this is for real. no kidding.
really this awesome.
after which went to walk around and saw some ancient ships.
got amazed by them.
the wind starts to blow blow and blow.
and there goes my hair.
you rarely get a picture of me with my hair being messy. LOL
so here is one :}
the temperature at that point of time is really too extreme for me
because the wind is really icy cold.
:/
its blowing so hard till we cannot open our eyes to take photo
hahahaha come to think of it it is quite funny.
walk along the path of Avenue of Stars;
spotted my idol Nicholas Tse handprint hehehehe
saw jackie chan one too !
;)
they have such beautiful flower along the walkway.
why singapore dont have such awesome view.
i see a lot people taking their DSLR and taking pictures of it ^^
After which went to citygate outlet to shop! its where all the branded stuff comes together.
bought quite a lot of things there, almost broke my hand while carrying the shopping items.
bought a coach sling bag there too ! sis bought one handbag too ! and she bought a watch too which is cheaper by at least nearing $100 compared to Singapore.
basically buying branded overseas will be definitely much better than in Singapore.
everything is over tax here :/
came back at around 7+?
caught this light show !
many people were there.
the famous Hong Kong's City of Lights Show.
just picked a random picture out of the xx number of photos i took .
sorry this picture cannot show the beauty of it.
Afterwhich, we went to have a late dinner at a random Hong Kong restaurant nearby our hotel.
they have plenty of this kinda places everywhere in Hong Kong .
the vegetables may look normal to you but they taste really different from the ones in Singapore.
really i swear, we ordered 2 plates of it i think.
its extremely sweet and crunchy .
its not just the normal type of vegetables being served every day.
ordered this fish soup base with a mixture of fishballs and etc
the soup is really fresh and sweet. couldnt stop drinking it.
ordered this with luncheon meat+ eggs.
the luncheon meat and eggs were cooked to perfection, finish them all but its too oily as you can see
from the soup surface.
i couldnt swallow the noodles at all because it was too oily, only ate 3-4 mouths:/
feel guilty.
afterwards we went to temple street! was really glad we went there, because bought a lot of interesting stuff there including 3 vintage notebooks which i think cannot be found in singapore.
3 for $21, i know it sounds dumb to buy them at such expensive price. i will post photos of it soon !
anyway on Day 2 of my trip;
i went to Ladies Street which everyone will go to when they visit Hong Kong.
but i do not think it is an awesome place. because i have a bad experience there hahahaha
or maybe it is just me that is being unlucky lols.
i wanted to get a belt there from a stall for my friend, i asked for the price.
this china lady quoted me HKD200++ which is almost $40 in SGD. that is totally rip off please.
i might as well top up another $40-$50 to buy a branded one right.
so fast forward the story : eventually she ownself discounted to HKD$100 and when i wanted to walk away she grabbed hold of my wrist . LOL
i was totally shocked. i can feel the bones. hahahahah
luckily my sister saved me from her.
so we did not buy obviously and went off and she shouted and shouted at us after we walked off-_-
amazing !
so after that night i had a trauma of going to night markets so i actually was quite reluctant to go to temple street on Day 3 Night.
but luckily i went;)
i kind of like the people there.
++++
DAY 4.
DIM SUM YET AGAIN At this 1 star michelin star dimsum place.
the maximum no of stars that can be awarded to a place is 3 stars.
and if one star is awarded , it is actually very good already.
so my sister found out about this place and we went really early just to eat their dim sum.
anyway heard that they are opening one branch in singapore soon :}
this dim sum place is located at sham shui po if my memory did not fail me.
highlight of the best dish here is this char siew pastry thing.
IT IS HEAVENLY.
HAVE TO TRY.
this is a turnip carrot cake i think :)
this is a bit different from the usual ones you eat ;)
just a few snap shots of the food here and there because
basically all dim sum looks the same but this 2 here you have to try it yourself!
got there really early like 830am?
luckily we were early because after awhile the place was full.
was having bad teeth that day due to the toothpaste provided by the hotel.
couldnt really bite properly :/
took this after eating :)
shopped around after that bought a pair of floral pumps and boots there.
the shoes are really cheap here,
people are friendly,
everything about this place is just perfect.
the place may not look grand, living conditions might not be that great or as clean.
but this place is definitely awesome.
i like how the streets and houses and building looked like in this place.
gives a very vintage and back to older days feel.
this is how they sell pork.
they just air it open space.
LOL kinda interesting.
was being health conscious, bought this deli fresh kiwi drink which tasted not too bad.
in the background is the 3 vintage notebook which i mentioned earlier; ;)
+++
MongKok.
took a ferry there,
so exciting to take a ferry, ferry is actually their form of normal transport unlike singapore :(
i really wish i can live in this kind of island next time.
everything about this place so peaceful.
you open a shop there and your house is just a stone throw away.
so many cute themes cafe and bar there !
there is this shop that sells everything related to cats !
spent quite some time there and bought something back ;}
Main aim of visiting this island is to eat the seafood there.
the gigantic seafood.
this is the first seafood restaurant upon arriving at this island.
there is actually a whole stretch of it and this place is actually kind of over priced BUT
it is definitely value for money !
we had scallops.
look at how fat and juicy the meat is.
THESE PRAWNS.
THEY ARE REALLY BIG AND FRESH.
cooked using the most simple ingredients like garlic and salt and they tasted heavenly.
maybe it is just the freshness that makes this dish so amazing.
1 plate of prawns, 1 plate of scallops + 1 random vegetable = $100 sgd for 2 person.
kind of expensive but after you tasted it , you will definitely not regret it =)
took ferry back again ;)
i like this picture because the colors combination and contrast is perfect !
went back and took DING DING CHE.
this is actually a type of bus that only moves on the designated track.
;)
so fun ! we took really long to alight just to enjoy the feeling of it inside the bus.
there are so many modes of transport in hong kong all so interesting !
this is the boots which i bought ! really pretty and i like it a lot =).
and it is super cheap !
sad to say i only brought back 2 pairs of shoes :/ should have buy more.
but no space to put in luggage already :(
caught this view, while on the way back =).
CLOCK TOWER.
+++++DAY 5 +++
woke up feeling kind of sad, last morning in hong kong already.
:}
LAST DAY OUTFIT ;)
hair kind of messy here because not yet combed :/
hahahaha
i like my knitted sleeves x denim dress=).
while in the cab !
last breakfast in hong kong, all time favourite macaroni :)
i miss this already=(
Lunch in the plane ;)
did not finish the pasta because there were olives in it :/
the taste /smell is really weird.
i have phobia of olives now. but i tried my best to eat the pasta already ! (:
reached singapore. shopped at duty free, bought a chanel perfume ;)
pictures up soon =).
cabbed back to sister house, sorted out our loots ;)
heh picture of the 3 paintings she bought in hong kong :) really pretty !
quite a summarized post of day 3-5.
but i tried my best already hehehe.
will update about my life after i am back from hong kong soon !
(: thank you for reading my blog^^
